We are a play-based family child care that is mixed-age from infant to school aged (5 or 6 years old). With a firm belief in play-based learning, we get children kindergarten ready by focusing on social and emotional skills along with self-help skills. We integrate a preschool program as part of our child care.
As a mixed-age child care, we scaffold activities to meet the children’s needs and continue to challenge them with new and engaging activities. We strive to ensure each child feels loved and encouraged.
We offer a respectful, caring environment that encourages children to interact, cooperate and participate in a variety of stimulating activities. We have found that when children know what is expected of them and are offered choices, they feel more in control of their own actions and are happier and more cooperative. Children settle into the daycare successfully because we offer a rich variety of experiences built around a consistent routine of activities, meals, snacks and naps.
Schedule
We are open Monday - Friday from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Our typical daily schedule is -

8:30 – 9:30 am Indoor/Outdoor Free Play
9:30 – 10:00 am Snack Offered
10:00 – 10:30 am Circle Time
10:30 – 11:30 am Preschool Activities
11:30 – 12:00 pm Lunch
12:00 – 12:30 pm Quiet Time Activities
12:30 – 2:30 pm Nap/Quiet Time
2:30 – 3:00 pm Snack Offered
3:00 – 5:00 pm Indoor/Outdoor Free Play
Preschool Program
As part of our preschool activities we do numbers, letters, colors, shapes, calendar, weather, arts and crafts projects, baking, music and movement and sensory play. All programs and curriculum is tailored to each age group. We like to be hands-on with our learning and have a good time while doing it!
Early Achievers
Early Achievers is Washington's Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) for child care facilities that commit to providing high-quality early learning experiences for children birth to 5 years old.
